Michael Rothman founded SMS Assist with six employees to the 900+ employee enterprise firm it is today. Under his leadership, SMS Assist transformed into one of the fastest-growing technology companies globally.
In 2016, the same year Rothman was named a Midwest Entrepreneur of the Year and also a national finalist by Ernst & Young, SMS Assist received $150 million in Series D funding at a $1 billion valuation from Goldman Sachs Investment Partners, the same team that invested in Uber, Facebook, Pinterest and Spotify. SMS Assist has received the Momentum Award for its technology.
Michael transformed the business from a traditional brick and mortar service company into an advanced technology company whose mobile and cloud-based facilities maintenance platform manages over 30,000 affiliated providers to service a nationwide roster of Fortune 500 retail and industrial clients representing over 250,000 locations.
Michael has experience developing strategic technology and operating strategies that utilize innovative technology including data analytics, machine learning, predictive insights and automation. These efforts focused on enhancing investment and operational intelligence to drive strategic decisions and enhance execution capabilities.
Michael was an investor at Coatue Management, a top performing technology hedge fund focused on leading investments into both private venture-backed companies as well as public companies across all verticals in technology. Utilized a proprietary operating platform to support fund operations and developed a 30 person data science team.
Michael is a former ATP-ranked professional tennis player. He was also captain of Dartmouth Men’s Tennis Team where he earned All Ivy and other Division I honors.
Corey served as Regional President – Central Florida, the company’s largest market, for Invitation Homes (a Blackstone company). During his tenure, he was responsible for the deployment of over $1.2B and managed the purchase, rehabilitation, leasing, and property management of over 12,000 single family homes and managed a staff of over 300 employees and 1000 contractors. Invitation Homes is the largest single family home owner in the United States, investing over $17B in nearly 83,000 homes.
Corey also has over 15 years of creative real estate investment experience with a specialty in owner financed notes and options, in both the residential and commercial markets. Recognized as a regional leader in the real estate investment space, Corey has spoken before thousands of real estate investors regarding deal structuring and financing of various types of real estate investment projects. Corey also served on the Board of Directors of New Beginnings of Tampa, a non-profit organization which provides recovery services for addicts.
Ms. Rittmanic serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Second Avenue. Her responsibilities include Accounting, Finance, Tax, Treasury, Risk Management and Human Resources.
Prior to joining Second Avenue, Ms. Rittmanic was the SVP Finance for Home Partners of America, Inc. (HPA), a $4.5B single family residential REIT. She was a senior member of the Executive team and responsible for Public and Private debt placement of approximately $4B and associated compliance, Treasury, Risk Management (insurance placement/claims- all lines) and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Prior to joining HPA, Ms. Rittmanic managed and led finance and accounting teams at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., Toplander Corporation, YesMail.com, SAP Labs & SAP Campbell (f/k/a Campbell Software). At Campbell Software, Ms. Rittmanic was part of the executive management team that completed a successful merger with SAP America in early 1999. At YesMail.com, she was part of the executive management team that led YesMail through a successful initial public offering in September,1999 and subsequent acquisition by CMGI in 2000. Early in her tenure at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (Gallagher), she was responsible for global Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and led the company to become the first December 31 year-end corporation in the U.S. to comply with the legislation. She ended her tenure at the company as Chief Financial Officer for Risk Placement Services, Inc., Gallagher’s wholesale insurance division.
Ms. Rittmanic is a registered CPA, received a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, Minor in French, from Bradley University, and received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Alex founded the technology teams at SMS Assist, delivering innovative solutions for enterprise property management. His leadership helped SMS Assist earn recognition for being in the Built in Chicago’s list of Top 100 Digital Companies in Chicago in both 2015 and 2016, and Alex is among the 2017 Digital Edge 50 award winners.
He brings expertise in helping grow SMS Assist into a leading cloud-based property management platform, contributing to its recognition the past two years as one of Forbes World’s Best 100 Cloud Companies, ranked No. 33 this year, and a Deloitte Technology Fast 500 recipient for three consecutive years.

Prior to Credit Suisse Matthew was senior principle at Sagence Consulting and Head of Product & Implementation for Textura, a SaaS organization now owned by Oracle. At Textura he established and led teams responsible for the implementation of the Textura product offering and delivered the Product strategy.
Has overseen all aspects of property and asset management portfolios from 15,000 to over 50,000 multi-family units throughout the U.S. in over 30 states.

Mikes lifelong passion for Architecture and Design has led him to positions as City Design Review Consultant, Elected Architectural Review Board Member, membership in the NAHB, NARI, ILCA, OLCA, Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and Various Historical Associations over the years. Mike grew up and attended College in Southern California, spent over a decade in The Pacific Northwest and now resides with his family in Evanston, Illinois.

Utilized Alteryx, to capture big data and design workflows that automate data mining, cleansing, and process inefficiencies. On behalf of a major metro, led the product development of a Ruby on Rails SAAS technology. Provided data analysis, modeling, and product consulting to win new business and scale the operation. Managed the metro’s consumer platform to track the frequency and depth of engagement with city assets and events for more than 100,000+ users.
